About

GTC Tennis Consultancy &  Academy’s methodology of coaching has the legacy of produce ATP/WTA Players, Davis Cup & Fed Cup Players, winners of Grand Slams Juniors, Group A and JITIC as well. Also to achieve full scholarships in the most prominent colleges in the US.
We enjoy encouraging players to reach their maximum potential, and to assist parents to have a more effective relationship with their children players. We also enjoy retaining more Kids in our sport, and coaching Coaches to be more successful in all areas presented in their job.

Gustavo is founder of GTC Tennis Consultancy Inc

He designs and supervise the operations of the integrated program of the academy which covers High Performance, (full/part time player boarding/non boarding with schooling), Transitional Competitive Program, Development Program, Recreational Tennis, Parents Orientation, Tournament calendar, Traveling team junior /professional circuit, Fitness program, and Player Management.
Players from everywhere request to attend due the size and individualized program. Gustavo implement each player program according with needs detected.

The GTC 16 & Under Florida Tennis Initiative®, provides opportunities for all to be involve in both the recreational and competitive track. The developmental players compete in 10&Under Tennis; Florida’s super series, sectionals; and nationals. Also top players compete in the ITF Junior Circuit; and Futures as well.

The  overall program has the legacy to retain a lot of players and  produce ATP/WTA Players, Davis Cup & Fed Cup Players, winners of Grand Slams Juniors, Group A and JITIC as well.  Also players achieved full scholarships in the most prominent colleges in the US.

Sebastian Prieto, Jose Velazco, Ryan Sweeting, Victor Estrella, Young Seok Kim, Jose Hernandez, Victoria Rodriguez, Marcela Zacarias, Alex Llompart, Jaime Cuellar, Rafael Arevalo, Marcelo Arevalo, Niluka Madurawe, Alejandra Canudas among other players were influenced by Gustavo & GTC’s training concept. 

Gustavo’s passion for coaching started young, running his tennis academy in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1978-91) where some of his students were juniors national champions, professionals and Davis Cup players.

Since 1986, he has been associated as an ITF expert and consultant. From 1991 until end of 2005, he was appointed as the full-time ITF Development Officer for Mexico, Central American and Caribbean region. Through his ideas and influence, both the “ITF School Tennis Initiative” and the “ITF Performance Tennis Initiative” have dramatically improved both the participation and the competitive aspect of the region of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

He was Director of Coaching & Operations of the ITF Regional/Worldwide High Performance Training Center, Florida from 1997 to 2003.

With more of 37 years in the tennis industry, Gustavo is considered a worldwide expert and leader in Junior Development Players concept. He has been a speaker presenting his ideas and methodology in ITF National, Regional and Worldwide Seminars in more of 51 countries worldwide since 1985; as well as participating in USTA Educational events, USTA TTC, USTA/Florida, the AAT, and the PTR during the last decade. He is also Tutor of the Level I, Level II and Play and Stay ITF Coaches Courses.

Gustavo was Director of Coaches Education for the Argentinean Tennis Association (1989-1992), and also Founder and Director of Coaches Education of FMT/PCFIE, program of the Mexican Tennis Federation (2005-2009). He is a co-author of Developing Young Players, an ITF Manual for junior competitive development used in more of 70 countries; has published articles in ITF Coaches and Sport Science Review, Tennis E Coach, PTR Magazine and in several other publications for coaches.

Gustavo’s communication skills were priority in his career and his expertise was offered in several workshops and conference. His article published in PTR Magazine “Focused in Communication: an Inexhaustible Tool for the Coach” was translated to Spanish and Japanese as well. 

PTR Professional since 1979, he is Honorary Member Professional of the PTR, USA, since 1996, and also USPTA member. 

As volunteer for USTA FL, Gustavo is member of the Youth Recreational Committee, Coaches Commission, and the task force “Tennis Para Todos”. In 2013 he was honored with the USTA FL Diversity Achievement Award.

Within the area of Diversity in USA, he was cooperating with Multicultural Camps in Florida. However his major contribution was the creation of the 1st Workshop for Hispanic Coaches in the US, with the aim of involve even more the Hispanic Coach in the development of tennis in US also highlight the potential market of more of 53 million Latinos. It was so far made 15 workshops between 2008 and 2015.

He enjoys spend time Patagonia and snorkeling in different countries. A special attention highlights his passion for gourmet Argentinean Asado (“an excuse to gather friends…” Gustavo said). 

Gustavo was born in Argentina and lives in Weston, FL since 1999 with his wife Maureen, Augusto graduated in Finances in George Washington University’s and Tomas, professional soccer player who played  the 2013 FIFA World Soccer Cup U 20.

- Ricardo Martins:
Martins

Originally from Sao Paulo, Ricardo is the Senior Assistant Coach of GTC Academy. Besides coaching and teaching, he is responsible also of the Sport and Conditioning, Evaluations and Physical Education tennis oriented program. A PTR Professional, he played juniors and Futures and former teammate for the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, where he was graduated in Sport Conditioning, Fitness specialist and Trainer. Actually is coursing the Master in Exercise Physiology and Sport Conditioning, University of Miami.

-Ernesto Ruiz Bry:
Ernesto Ruiz Bry
Ernesto was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina. He is one of the most experienced touring coaches in both junior and professional circuit. He worked with Mary Jo Fernandez, Boris Becker, Guillermo Vilas, Ronald Agenor, Guillermo Cañas, among several top juniors as Agustin Savarino. Ernesto detect talent players to be integrated in specific programs of GTC Academy and traveling circuit.

-Osvaldo Maraucci:
Marcelo Maraucci
Originally from Santos, Brazil Osvaldo possess a unique experience in junior development and competitive track. He worked with several Brazilian top players include Gustavo Kuerten. Actually Osvaldo is ESPN Brazil tennis analyst and focus in junior development. He provides to the Brazilian community the possibility to expand their tennis experience in Florida.

-Javi Climent:
Javi Climent
Originally from Valencia, Spain Junior and Professional player, mate of David Ferrer during the Junior Circuit and former coach of GTC Academy, Javi Climent provides to GTC Academy advice and expertise about worldwide tendencies in both Junior and Professional level

-Jaime Cuellar:
Jaime Cuellar
Originally from El Salvador, Jaime was top 22 in the ITF World Ranking, played juniors Grand Slam, Davis Cup and winning Orange Bowl Doubles, Futures and former #1 of the University of South Carolina. Graduated in Finances, he holds the Master in Economics of the University of South Caroline. As a junior player, Jaime was under the direction of Gustavo Granitto during 7 years. Besides his passion in junior development, Jaime is focus in mentoring all level of players and provides to GTC Academy an unique business orientation.

GTC Education Blended School has partnered with K12 International Academy and The Keystone School, a program of K12 Inc. a leader in the growing field of Blended learning using The Keystone School and a unique blended learning environment to provide individual attention and academic support. Our uniquely-flexible program provided by The Keystone School adapts to a plethora of student demands by offering customized Bi-Monthly schedules and calendars, continuous enrollment, and 24/7 access. Through GTC, Keystone delivers experienced teachers, a college preparatory curriculum, daily onsite support, and the recognition of specified Joffrey courses in progression plan. The goal of GTC School is for students to secure high school diploma without sacrificing other endeavors. GTC Education Blended School offers also English learning program for foreign students.

Holistic Specialists has specialized Programs for youth, amateur, professional and elite players to Maximize Speed, Power, Focus, Growth, and Recovery. Lead by Diego Rutenberg and Shantih Coro, they have a personalized plan for each player and bring together the best methodologies in functional medicine, clinical nutrition, sports nutrition and top quality supplements.

-Dynamix Rehabilitation:

Under the guidance of Robert Jones, PT Dynamix Reh was providing successful attention to GTC Academy for more of seven years. Robert is also an active tennis player.
